Introduction

In this position, you are responsible for the strategic and operational market-based and commercial creative direction as well as for the development of the SCHIESSER Men and Women collection (seasonal and basics) reporting to the Vice President Product Management & Design and in close collaboration with the Vice President Brand & Communication and the Technical Development departments.

To strengthen our department Product Management & Design we are looking for an immediate candidate for our headquarters in Radolfzell.

Your Tasks

  • Definition of the strategic direction and its (further) development of a modern, commercial SCHIESSER-specific signature brand appealing to a broad target customer group for the SCHIESSER Men's and Women´s segment
  • Recognition and implementation of market and consumer needs and trends as well as of the various sales channels/customer categories, both national and international
  • Acting on and implementation of innovations, new fashion developments, new materials, fabric structures, processing methods and current color trends/concepts
  • Creative lead for the development of the Men's and Women´s collection (trend information, mood boards, collection theme and alignment)
  • Creation of design concepts, their implementation and coordination with subordinate designers (internal & external)
  • Development and implementation of product-oriented marketing highlights in close consultation with the VP Brand & Communication
  • Capture and management of the data/sketches/designs in/with TexDesign/TexDefine/TexStore/Photoshop/llustrator in terms of manufacturing, cut, color and print as well as further design details
  • Analysis of the incoming orders (pre-orders and re-orders) as well as sales of the relevant collection and derivation of measures for the subsequent collection
  • Occasional presentations for internal development meetings, international sales meetings, for customer appointments with regard to market and product trends and SCHIESSER design strategies
  • Regular market and trade fair visits domestically and abroad
  • Professional and disciplinary management of the SCHIESSER Design Team Men and Women

 

Your Profile

  • Master or Bachelor degree in textile design or a similar education
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an equivalent or similar fashion design position 
  • Several years of experience in the national and international Men and Women underwear markets with understanding of its conditions, requirements and rules
  • Sense of style and feel for fashion trends, materials and colors
  • Passion for fashion and storytelling
  • Good knowledge of the underwear market, in particular in our key market Germany and other international markets, in particular Western Europe
  • Conceptual and strategic understanding of targeting the Men's collection to the market and how to create it succinctly, commercially and in a cost-conscious manner
  • Creative, proactive, independent, self-reliant, analytical and networking thinker and hands-on implementer
  • Capable of handling the range from strategy to product detail
  • Goal and success oriented, used to successfully act in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Team-player and ability to undertake inter-departmental coordination and problem solving
  • Flexibility, assertiveness, strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong leader that can bring his/her team to the next level with high motivation and professional personal development skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (spoken and written), any additional language is an advantage
